JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Sports is seeking a proactive, motivated, and detail-oriented Talent Producer to join our booking team within the Talent Relations Department in New York City. You must have extensive experience tracking, pitching, and working alongside A-List Sports Talent in an entertainment and/or sports environment. You must also demonstrate a knowledge of professional communication between Talent representatives and Talent themselves. Proven, existing relationships with agents, athletes, and Team PRs within the NFL and NBA is also required and prior experience working in entertainment with celebrities outside of sports, is a plus. As a Talent Producer, you must have a core understanding of daily-taping responsibilities related to Talent including advancing Talent arrivals, coordinating security lists, compiling departmental distribution, interfacing with Producers re Talent appearance, and aiding in on-site needs of Talent, outside guests, and Talent Team.
While based in New York, you will work closely with our Los Angeles based Talent Relations Department on a daily-basis and cross-departmentally on a project-by-project basis. This includes, but is not limited to, spearheading bookings with LA Producers of Fox Sports Live Events and LA based FS1 Daily Studio Shows.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• NYC based guest bookings for Fox Sports programming needs
• Confirm daily athlete guests for live television interview style appearances – both in-person and via Remote/Zoom/Skype
• Facilitate daily guest needs either via email for remote coordination or on-site for in-person tapings
• Prepare and submit guest and talent ideas/pitches to show Producers for consideration
• Work with LA based talent producers as well as NYC based directors, coordinating producers, researchers, etc. to ensure the most appropriate guests are identified and booked for shows
• Collaborate closely with the entire Talent Relations Team on Fox Sports live events guest bookings when called upon
• Seamlessly execute daily work both remotely from home and in-office/studio
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• At least 3 years of experience as a Talent Booker, Talent Producer, Talent Executive or equivalent within a Talent Booking Team or Talent Department
• Previous experience coordinating remote and in-person Talent appearances
• Overall understanding of television production & knowledge of sports
• Awareness of Fox Sports slate of programming
• Interest in working with Talent at all levels
• Ability to work successfully as part of a team
• Ability to function effectively in a high pressure atmosphere subject to frequent changes and produce results
• Ability to have a flexible schedule (some weekends, flexible hours)
• Working knowledge of typical office tech: ZOOM, Email, Calendar Invitations, G Suite shared documents & spreadsheets
