JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports is looking for a Director of Strategy & Analytics to join our team in Los Angeles. As a member of a strategically focused ''think tank,'' the Director of Strategy & Analytics operates in support of FOX Sports and Partner business areas, including Acquisitions, Content, Distribution, Gaming, Marketing, Programming, Public Relations, Sales, and Technology. Collaborating with these functions, you will have three highly integrated responsibilities: executing primary audience and secondary category research; turning those insights into actionable implications; and inspiring the application of those implications through clear, concise, and compelling storytelling.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Research Expert
• Design and implement primary qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
• Translate data into compelling, digestible stories that reveal the underlying ''why''
• Utilize secondary research resources to answer key category and consumer questions
• Identify innovative research tools that continually add to Fox Sports' research toolbox

Thought Leader
• Ensure that all assignments have the highest level of strategic rigor
• Develop recommendations that are competitively advantageous, actionable and inspiring
• Provide a POV based on diligent analysis, sensitive listening and thoughtful intuition
• Advocate for the audience and represent the ''voice of the viewer'' within the organization

Team Player
• Collaborate across business areas and build internal client relationships
• Mentor junior team members and take an active role in their development
• Own work-streams outright, managing projects from start to finish
• Suggest process and procedural improvements and increase the team's ''metabolic rate''

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategic planning, brand management or market research
• Demonstrated expertise in media, brand strategy, consumer research, and data analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of the broader sports and media landscapes
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills
• Ability to present and defend insights and implications to internal and external audiences
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
