Department/Group Overview:
The ESPN compensation department leads the design, implementation and administration of compensation programs. This includes designing base pay & incentive plans and alternative rewards programs that are consistent with market conditions, internal equity, a pay for performance philosophy and the company's business and HR priorities and strategies.
Job Summary:
Sr Compensation Analyst assists in the implementation and administration of compensation programs such as base pay, short and long-term incentives, job evaluations, market reviews, internal equity and salary surveys that support the company's business strategy.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
• Provide day to day client group support of compensation needs collaborating closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders
• Actively participates in the successfully implementation and management of regular compensation activities including annual compensation planning cycle, promotion cycle, salary survey participation, etc.
• Educate HRBPs and business leaders on compensation philosophy, programs and processes
• Review and approve employment offers – consulting with TA, HRBPs and business leaders
• Conduct market study reviews for designated client group to ensure that we remain competitive in the marketplace.
• Evaluate, level and determine appropriate grade for new and existing jobs
• Collaborate with HR business partners and assigned clients in the creation of consistent job families
• Conduct ad hoc compensation analyses and projects
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree - Human Resources, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, or Business degree preferred; or equivalent work experience
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
Experience:
• 5+ years of relevant Compensation experience in a diverse business environment
• Consulting experience a plus
Skills:
• Strong understanding of compensation practices and trends
• Demonstrated experience in supporting the day to day compensation needs of a client group
• Ability to make independent decisions and recommendations based on compensation principles and philosophy
• Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate compensation information to varying audiences
• Exceptional quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
• Advanced Excel knowledge, SAP, Workday experience a plus
• Ability to set priorities and manage multiple assignments
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a flexible, often ambiguous environment
Salaried Range: The pay range for this position in Colorado is $103,950 to $115,500 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
