Job Description
Part Time Radio Producer

The Radio Producer is responsible for live and/or pre-recorded audio content for ESPN LA Radio Shows. Works daily with the Program Director and Assistant Program Director as well as other colleagues involved in the production of shows. Involved in both short-range and long-range planning. Communicates daily expectations and delivers feedback to talent and staff on show units.

Responsibilities:
• Map out show topics and direction with hosts and PD and APD
• Maintain contacts and relationships with potential newsmakers
• Work with Talent and other colleagues on show execution elements
• Create Show features and bits
• Help dissect ratings results and competitive positioning
• Must follow specific rules regarding appropriate content and indecency regulations
• Contribute to the selection of on-air guests and content decisions for shows
• Develops and supports talk show topics
• Direct talent on mechanics and fundamentals (resets, promotional mentions)
• Limited travel but may be asked to produce onsite remote events
• Occasionally multitask and be capable of running control board
• Responsible for producing live games as well as pre-and post-game shows

Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of three (3) years minimum experience in radio Talk Show Producing
• Experience working with high-profile talent
• Excellent phone skills
• Digital editing using Adobe
• Knowledge of ENCO, Wide Orbit or similar digital audio platforms

Required Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Education
• College Degree in a related field

This role is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a Company designated location on an ongoing basis.
