Job Description
Position Summary:

The scope of the position includes, managing a team of designers, providing creative direction, implementing strategic and efficient workflow processes, mentorship, finessing schedules and developing our amazing design team. You will work closely with colleagues across our Creative Studio, Directing and Production groups.

Responsibilities:
• Supervises Production Design staff members and scheduling assignments to meet programming needs and new initiatives.
• Provides Art Direction and approves graphics formats that support ESPN's cross-platform brand strategies.
• Directly manages Production Designers performance reviews and growth opportunities.
• Escalates equipment and computer problems to our Technical Support group.
• Responsible for training, mentoring, and proactively providing performance feedback.
• Must be highly motivated, work well under pressure, and effectively multi-task priorities
• Accountable for strategizing, long-term planning and being the point person for all creative implementation, workflows, asset organization, and communication on single or multiple shows and/or sports properties.
• The position requires strong communication and coordination of work that spans across our partners in ESPN Creative Studio, Directing and ESPN Production groups.

Requirements:
• 8+ years of professional experience in Graphic Design
• Experiencing leading teams and working in a live or post-production environment
• Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with specific focus on Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
• Must be flexible, self-starter, detail-oriented, deadline driven, strong collaborator and excellent communicator
• Proficient in visualization graphic design and typography layout and providing feedback on creative to Production Designers
• Knowledge of Real-Time Graphics development and deployment.
• Advanced knowledge of live production room workflows and operating systems
• Exceptional communication, constructive feedback and presentation skills
• Strong creative troubleshooting and strategic planning skills
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Preferred knowledge of After Effects scripting
• Preferred knowledge of Cinema 4D

Required Education:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
