What You'll Do

Epic Games is looking for a Senior Hard Surface Artist to join our team working with art, design, animation, and production to help figure out how we supply a steady stream of mechanical content on Fortnite. You will create stylized art and push the quality of hard surface mechanical modeling while being a solid communicator and team player. Bring your awesome mechanical models to life in this stylized world.

In This Role You Will
• Model high poly, low poly, and texturing assets including weapons, pickaxes, gliders, vehicles, and gadgets
• Handle outsourcing management as needed; checking to make sure outsourcers are adhering to technical & aesthetic requirements
• Create mechanical models that show a high degree of articulation and animation
• Create high quality stylized art and high quality models and textures
• Create models that appropriately capture the feeling of the 2d concept art

What We're Looking For
• World class modeling skills, preferably in MAX or Maya
• Solid communicator with an ability to work between disciplines
• Great texturing skills and experience with PBR & materials
• Ability to take 2D concept art to completion
• Ability to create functional, articulated mechanical models and rig them
• Ability to provide feedback to outsourcers
