Job Description

Responsibilities
• Possess a well-versed knowledge of construction, product development, packaging design, manufacturing processes and go-to-market for apparel, accessories, toys, games, novelty, sporting goods, collectibles, home furnishings, 3D products, food & beverage, health & beauty packaging, entertainment / exhibit spaces, advertising and marketing materials
• Able to suggest and visually represent commercially viable product ideas and features that elevate consumer products to a new level
• Provide clear and concise creative notes that guide partners to follow our character models and brand attributes
• Understand global trends in toys and games that translate into commercially viable product ideas that work globally and/or regionally
• Communicate with global/regional licensees to understand and support local product initiatives and consumer preferences
• Work with all new and existing licensees to track all stages of product development
• Maintain and update trademark and copyright information for current properties
• Learn the department submission system and assist licensees with product submissions to ensure that the review process is seamless
• On-board new licensing partners and manage creative assets and distribution to licensees
• Review product concepts and routes for approval and assist with feedback to licensees
• Ensure accurate usage of creative assets
• Help identify product and design trends while maintaining brand integrity
• Maintain day-to-day contact with current licensees to facilitate development and update daily status information to accurately reflect the needs and progress of licensees
• Facilitate and build sales, pitch, and trade show material
• Report all royalty information related to completed products
• Manage all product samples

Requirements
• 5+ years Product Development experience required
• 2+ years experience managing projects and communications across many stakeholders
• Experience with development and manufacturing of apparel, accessories, toys, games, novelty, sporting goods, collectibles, home furnishings, 3D products, food & beverage, health & beauty, entertainment/exhibit spaces, 3D premiums and consumer product packaging
• Ability to provide thoughtful, clear creative art direction
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, deadline driven environment that revolves around multiple product development calendars
• Self-Starter, Highly organized, resourceful and proactive
• Flexible and ability to find compromise in challenging situations
• Mac proficient and advanced skills in Adobe and Microsoft applications required
