Visual Editor (Contract)

Responsibilities

PURPOSE: The Visual Editor will populate and fulfill photography needs for Digital Videos and various Digital content.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist Producers with Photo requests.
• Fulfill digital needs for stories while maintaining technical and visual standards.
• Review daily email pitches from photo agencies and flag/pitch ones that would be of interest for potential stories.
• Locating and downloading hundreds of images per week while keeping assets organized and keeping track of costs.
• Able to resize, retouch and color correct photos.
• Complete various annual assignments such as award show packages; film festivals packages and various other large events.
• Can negotiate usage fees Photo Agencies & Photographers.

Qualifications/Requirements
• 2+ years of Editorial/Research experience, preferably in the Entertainment Business or equivalent
• Experience with digital photography and a strong eye for photography a must
• Familiar with online paparazzi & stock photography sites as well as Entertainment Media press sites
• Familiar with photo Rights & Clearances
• Be able to work a Monday-Friday 10am-6pm PST schedule but also prepared to work overtime, evenings & weekends when necessary
• Mac & Internet literate
• High level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
