Job Description
We seek a creative and experienced Sr. Program Manager to join our Product Strategy team located in New York, NY or Santa Monica, CA to support technology driven programs representation, visibility, and integration into the global Disney Streaming roadmap. These programs include new technology driven initiatives and our initiative to to build out a unified platform across Disney Streaming applications. This position is reporting to the team manager for Commerce and Technology Product Strategy in New York, NY.

In this role, your mission is to evaluate technology driven initiatives and support the teams driving the requests to provide scalable, repeatable processes for scoping, prioritization, and analyzing business impact. You will also support the consistency in the planning, execution and reporting across Disney Streaming Platform Unification. You will partner with stakeholders at varying levels across engineering, product, operations and business teams.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems creatively, is highly thoughtful, collaborative, and engaging program management.

Responsibilities:
• Manage cross-functional teams to analyze and evaluate the value of new projects or programs. Facilitate the meetings and provide guidance for a unified assessment and recommendation.
• Partner with stakeholders to establish meeting and communication cadence to build out an accepted roadmap along with the process for interjections and future growth.
• Ability to learn and understand the basics of the technology stack and understand the process of building the technical specifications.
• Collaborate with data, product, engineering, and operational teams to capture and contribute to risks, issues, dependencies and decisions to drive to resolution or escalations as required.
• Identify new process opportunities to capture the right inputs and outputs that provide the right data to help drive decisions
• Successfully achieve department and organizational objectives, managing through challenges

Basic Qualifications:
• You have experience working in program management or product / business strategy role
• You have a demonstrated ability to work with engineering teams to discuss technical concepts
• You are a self-starter who is capable of working independently
• You are a strong communicator who can lead through ambiguity
• You can deliver results with minimal direction
• You have a demonstrated ability to use data to drive decisions and back up assumptions and recommendations
• You can advocate for yourself and your program but also have awareness for when you need assistance
• You bring a strong attention to detail, with an ability to take a step back and understand the bigger picture
• You have excellent written and oral communication skills
• You have an ability to build relationships and an internal network and the aptitude to utilize that network as needed throughout projects

Preferred Qualifications:
• You understand the streaming video ecosystem
• 5+ years of experience technical program or project management, technical account management or consulting experience

Required Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Bachelor's degree in business, product, or engineering
