The Walt Disney Company's Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) division is a new, global business segment for The Walt Disney Company that is responsible for the operations of the streaming services, including Disney+ (including Star and Disney+ Hotstar internationally), Hulu, and ESPN+ and domestic broadcast and cable television networks.

DMED is seeking a Senior Manager who will be an exceptional addition to the DTC Shared Services Platforms, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. You will report to the VP, FP&A and will play an integral role in leading the Data and Customer Service organizations (managing +$300m in capex and opex budgets), providing business and finance leaders important financial insights. The Shared Services Platforms organizations support Disney's global streaming businesses (D+, Hulu, ESPN+, Star+). The right person for this role possesses leadership experience, robust financial modeling skills, strong analytical and communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally, and sets a high bar for themselves. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan, Forecasts, and Quarterly Close processes for the Data and Customer Service organizations supporting D+, Hulu, ESPN+, Star+
• Build effective partnerships with Data and Customer Service business partners and Corporate finance to align operating plans and budget targets
• Understand and explain variances between actual results and financial projections for all components, and provide timely financial insights to business partners
• Create and maintain necessary P&L reporting for business partners
• Manage labor planning and strategy for global Customer Service
• Prepares and present financial materials and decks to executive senior leadership (CDO, SVPs, CFOs, etc.)
• Supports the processes to ensure the integrity of the accounting functionality, controls and processes
• Manage and develop a small but talented team
• Support ad-hoc analyses and corporate reporting as needed

Basic Qualifications:
• 8+ years of relevant work experience in finance, preferable in the media & technology industry
• Recent managing experience required
• Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis and financial modeling
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and collaborate tools such as Google Sheets and Slides
• Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform job responsibilities accurately while working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, and teamwork/partnering ability
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Ability to compose concise written descriptions of complex issues, supported by detailed analysis
• Ability to simplify complex issues and incorporate effective ''storytelling'' to influence the audience
• Ability to deliver presentations and communication to audiences of all levels persuasively, articulately and with full command of the topic
• Familiarity with using enterprise GL tools such as SAP

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
