Job Description
The Disney Entertainment segment includes the company's full portfolio of entertainment media and content businesses globally, including streaming. The Digital Marketing Center of Excellence Operations Team supports the Disney Entertainment Theatrical & Brand Marketing Teams. This group is responsible for leading and overseeing Business Operations, YouTube Operations, and Social Platform Operations, the management of YouTube policies, monetization of channels, account governance and the centralization of tools, vendors, and systems. Additionally, this team works closely with Tech, IT, Anti-Piracy, Legal, Finance, and Platforms on product and feature rollouts, vendor management and payments, and serves as the main point-of-contact for all Social & YouTube Best Practices for the COE.

Reporting into the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Operations, the YouTube Digital Marketing Operations Specialist will support The Disney Entertainment Digital Marketing YouTube Optimization Team that is focused on Brand, Studio, and Title Marketing on day-to-day YouTube requests.

The YouTube Operations Specialist should be well-versed in YouTube as a platform, it's various products and tools within the larger ecosystem, have a solid understanding of content uploading, playlisting, geo-targeting, and meta data. More importantly, understanding the nuances of general audience versus made-for-kids content as it relates to the above. They will work closely with respective Brand Marketing counterparts, the brand leads to schedule and plan against the content priorities, supporting channel optimization, and ensuring content is properly tagged according to TWDC best practices and Brand Marketing policies, and synced with Disney's reporting and analytic tools.

The YouTube Operations Specialist should be collaborative, result driven and detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of content distribution, digital, and emerging platforms. They should be able to shepherd multiple projects at a time within a fast-paced environment while identifying ways to streamline processes to maximize efficiency across all workflows.

Responsibilities:
• Maintaining the backlog of legacy content and identifying areas of optimization as it relates to the go-forward strategy
• Execute geo-targeting as necessary and working with Brand Lead to understand market-driven needs for local content and xLOB requirements
• Provide meta data and relevant tags to YouTube content for optimization.
• In partnership with Digital Strategy and the Brand lead, manage the creation and maintenance of account's playlist(s) across the larger portfolio of YouTube channels.
• Review BU partners requests and provide strategic and thoughtful recommendations and guidance according to best practices and policies outlined by Brand Marketing
• Support platform rollouts, resolve bugs, and escalate outstanding platform issues.
• Identify roadblocks to workflows and providing solutions for leadership to review
• Attend a regular cadence of YouTube trainings, ensuring up-to-date understanding of product features and best practices.
• Participate in team meetings both internally and externally to identify areas of opportunity
• Conduct quarterly audits of channels, users, and access according to TWDC CyberSecurity best practices.
• In partnership with Studio Analytics, share out channel performance at a regular cadence to help inform business decisions
• In partnership with Brand Lead, when necessary, publish content to designated YouTube Channels on behalf of the Brand, Studio and Title teams.
• Provide BU partners with ''unlisted'' asset IDs across the larger Digital Marketing COE portfolio.

Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in social/digital Marketing
• 2+ years of experience specifically in YouTube Operations or YouTube Content Programming
• Experience with management of YouTube Channels for with large followings within a complex ecosystem structure
• Familiarity with AdSense, YouTube Policies, Block Categories, and Channel Designations
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Google Doc
• Highly proficient in Excel
• Previous experience with CRM tools – Salesforce, AirTable, Zendesk
• Strong understanding of relevant social media platforms Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok. More specifically, how they differ from one another and how to leverage the wider ecosystem
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills coupled with the ability to communicate and implement operational processes
• Ability to thrive in a rapidly-changing workplace and accountable to independently executing tasks with minimal supervision once project guidelines and goals are shared
• Possesses strong organizational and communication skills, strong history of working with xLOB/partners across multiple teams and departments
• Ability to juggle and work on multiple projects successfully over a sustained period of time

Preferred Qualifications:
• AA or BA in Digital Marketing, Marketing or business admin/relevant degree preferred
• Keynote experience preferred

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $71,100 to $95,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
