Job Description

Hulu's Content Planning & Analysis team is seeking an analyst who will be an outstanding addition to our Content Finance team. Your primary responsibilities will be projecting the performance of prospective content deals, evaluating overall portfolio health, extracting data insights into subscriber and engagement trends, preparing reports for management, and assisting with other strategic projects. Due to the market-facing nature of our work and our shifting industry landscape, a successful candidate will have the aptitude to efficiently execute their tasks, develop new ways of thinking about existing problems, and contribute to idea generation. This role will have the opportunity to work on both Original and Licensed content across various content verticals/genres.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with Content Partners, Marketing, Production, and Data teams to build the strategic and business case for greenlights and renewals, and lead the approval process with key stakeholders
• Prepare complex models to project performance of existing content on Hulu, future Originals and potential Licensed acquisitions
• Assist with the creation of presentations to support executive decision-making, including deal memos and high-level strategy documents
• Become an expert in Hulu content performance and audience tendencies
• Regularly present analytical insights for potential transactions and inform the negotiations process for licensed acquisition and original productions
• Participate in various ad-hoc content projects

Basic Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, equity research, management consulting, or corporate/content strategy
• Complex modeling experience with exceptional Excel skills required
• Ability to clearly communicate complex data analysis
• Strong intellectual curiosity and ability to think outside-the-box
• Strong work ethic and an ability to prioritize across multiple projects
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
• Passion for film, television content, and media strategy

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in content, digital media, technology, and/or buy-side negotiations
• Proficiency with data extraction, organization, and visualization

Required Education
• BA/BS (focus on Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative field a plus)
