Overview
Position: Ad Sales Account Manager
Responsibilities:
• Sell commercial time for Discovery Networks. Prepares/revises and delivers sales presentations to advertisers and their respective ad agency anywhere in Medellin.
• Work jointly with the ad sales department heads and the others members of the Colombia ad sales team in order to efficiently contribute to the bottom-line.
• Sells conceptually and creates integrated marketing partnerships. Developer of quarterly strategy plan and projection reports. Strong emphasis on advertisers/ad agency care.
• Meets with the budgetary goals set forth by ad sales department heads. Prospect new business, as well as manage and grow existing account roster.
• Work jointly with Marketing, Research and Programming to develop compelling proposals and profitable deals for our portfolio of channels.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Strong writing and presentations skills and the ability to position Discovery Networks against competitors.
• Minimum of 7 years as advertising sales professional. Must clearly demonstrate ability to create innovative sales packages for on-air, off-air and on-line products while maintaining price integrity.
• Strong knowledge of the Colombian advertising market.
• Fluency in English is required Must be a strategic thinker and well organized.
• Heavy travel required.
• Ability to communicate with team members a must.
