Manager, Project Coordination

Position Summary

As the Manager of Project Coordination, your primary focus will be to oversee a team of project managers and coordinators responsible for planning and executing a variety of subtitling projects. Working with global counterparts, you will establish and improve processes for project management, promote best practices and ensure client expectations for quality and on-time delivery are met. You will monitor and manage the team's quality and on-time delivery performance data and address any issues that require management intervention.

Through your passion for collaboration you will build and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners and cross-functional global stakeholders. You will work cross functionally with Client Services, Global Project Coordination teams, Global Translator Management and Community Engagement teams, Editorial, Linguistic Quality, Product, and Technical Operations.

Main Duties
• Oversee the coordination of the end-to-end production lifecycle of subtitling projects in our proprietary cloud-based platform for localization services.
• Oversee direct reports in North America, monitoring their performance, conducting one-to-one meetings and performance evaluations.
• Maintain an accurate picture of current capacity and future capacity needs using available technology, including Deluxe's cloud-based platform, Sfera, collaborative documents and Deluxe client teams and resources.
• Collaborate with global team management and other key stakeholders to establish and promote best practices for project management that support quality, on-time delivery and scalability.
• Participate in onboarding new clients and workflows with global team management and key stakeholders in the end-to-end production chain.
• Participate in various initiatives that involve innovation, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives in line with business unit and company goals to meet KPI targets.
• Maintain and track departmental performance metrics.
• Ensure that staffing and training levels meet production needs and production targets are met.
• First point of escalation quality and capacity concerns regarding the North American Project Coordination team . Perform/delegate root cause analysis and propose and implement preventive actions.
• Serve as mentor and support for team members.
• Supervise and execute/delegate all production-related Sfera development scoping, documentation, and testing.
• Supervise and execute/delegate all production-related training, leveraging production staff, Training teams, and technology solutions to do this at scale.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule according to business needs.

• Assist in the evaluation of business opportunities and design cost-efficient and scalable solutions to pursue them. Work with global team management to drive development, implementation, and refinement of these solutions across global teams.

Competencies
• BA/MA Degree in Translation, Communications, Media, Localization Management or applicable equivalent experience
• 1-2 years experience in managing complex projects
• Experience with team supervision and training
• Exceptional communication skills across all levels (verbal, written)
• Experience with various localization workflows with emphasis on subtitling for all media & entertainment distribution channels
• The ability to engage with and motivate culturally diverse, distributed teams (listen, influence, lead)
• An attraction to applying deep critical thinking to difficult problems
• The ability to clearly communicate client expectations, project requirements and goals
• The ability to identify risks and effectively manage activities to minimize impact
