Job Description
OVERVIEW
Solid, well established and premiere transactional entertainment-based law practice seeks experienced candidate to provide assistance to Equity Partner specializing in representing music talent. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day-to-day administrative responsibilities in timely and diligent manner
- Efficiently communicate with attorneys, colleagues, and client teams (oral and written communications) with exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
- Managing attorney calendar and scheduling calls, videoconferences, and meetings
- Screen, direct, and prioritize incoming calls
- Greet and direct internal/external meeting participants
- Maintain contact lists and calendar
- Booking travel arrangements
- Handle word processing, employing correct grammar, spelling, and formatting
- Process new client/matter requests
- Track transaction negotiations and documents
- Create spreadsheets
- File, search and retrieve documents and correspondence using document management system plus document naming protocol
- Coordinate agreement approvals and execution - ensure necessary signatures are obtained
- Enter billable time in billing program and prepare expense reports
- Perform other similar tasks as requested, and handle other special projects as needed.

- Manage high and prioritize high volume of tasks and projects quickly; creates systems for excellent follow through so nothing slips through cracks
- Self-motivated, pro-active, resourceful and creative problem solver
- Excels when multi taking, meeting deadlines in fast paced environments
- Experience working with in an entertainment environment (law firm, to Head of Business Affairs or legal experience from a record label)
- High level of integrity, discretion and handling confidential information
- Professional with a collegial manner; able to interface with clients and other professionals
- 5 years’ experience required working as a productive legal administration at law firm or and in-house legal department of a large corporation
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook, Workshare Compare, and document management systems
- Able to stay on top of multiple initiatives at one time
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Bachelor’s degree a plus. Paralegal experience a plus
