Your New Role…
The CNN Research team is looking for an analyst to support CNN's TV Research group. We blend primary and secondary research to inform a variety of high-profile internal stakeholders with strategic insights. Along with regular reporting of the networks' linear performance, you will be part of a team that supports CNN's Original Series & Films teams and CNN Max; as well as working closely with Marketing to assist in building the best campaigns and Public Relations to identify key stories & the latest claims.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Develop an understanding of the television landscape and media research, and how they intersect
• Assist in production of daily and regular reporting needs for CNN, as well as competitive networks
• Provide support and recommendations for the CNN Executive Team
• Extract and analyze industry data using Nielsen research software applications (Ex: Nielsen NPower, Star Media, NNTV, NCL, etc.)
• Utilize viewing data to craft recommendations for marketing campaigns
• Distribute awareness reporting utilizing Ipsos market research data
• Construct Tableau dashboards to dissect the audience of various CNN events and programs
• Assist team with ongoing projects, data visualizations, client presentations (in Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and help maintain relationships with outside third-party vendors
• Help produce Original Series and Films dashboard reports and analysis
Qualifications & Experience…
• Bachelor's degree required with mathematics, finance, media, research, marketing or business degree preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in Finance, Data Analysis, Media Research, Media Buying/Planning, Market Research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Outlook, and Word). You must be able to do: Pivot Tables, Excel analysis formulas (IF, VLOOKUP, COUNT, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT, etc.) and formatting data, create and edit charts in Excel.
• Strong analytical skills -- ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of data with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, and transform into meaningful, actionable information.
• Experience with Tableau, Snowflake, Looker, Domo and programming languages including SQL, R, and/or Python is a plus
• Experience in effectively & clearly presenting analytical findings to relevant stakeholders
• Must be well-organized, flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and be detail oriented
• Ability to meet deadlines and have excellent follow-up skills
• Basic knowledge – and a strong interest in TV, News, and the Media landscape
• Passion for current events, News & Politics is a plus

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $57,960.00 - $107,640.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
