Job Description

The Job:
• Responsible for coordinating the technical elements of on-air segments for anchors, reporters, and guests.
• These duties include booking flash cameras for anchors, assigning and coordinating ifb's/pl's, relaying last-minute information to field teams, and working with the international desk to make sure reporters are available as scheduled.
• Other duties include communicating anchor introductions/questions and elements to reporters. Producer 1s may also be required to build and execute show rundowns, liaise with show teams and work with the desk, and plan on reporter and guest requests.

The Daily:
• A Producer 1 is also expected to have a full understanding of the editorial direction that the network is taking daily.
• Must be willing to work any shift including weekends and overnights.

The Essentials:
• All applicants must have basic broadcast production skills, the ability to operate in a control room and work well under deadline pressure, and a passion for international news.
• The successful applicant must also have a BA degree or equivalent work experience.
