CNBC, the world leader in business news, is seeking a sales and marketing specialist copywriter with deep experience in developing effective communications plans with a senior executive audience in mind. The successful copywriter will use a combination of data-driven and optimization techniques to develop email marketing campaigns to support goals of membership acquisition and audience development. This role should have experience writing and editing email communications to a variety of audiences, especially B2B audiences.
This role is part of a team that straddles sales, marketing, and audience development content marketing for CNBC Councils and CNBC Events. This role collaborates closely with the following roles: Senior Director, Audience & Membership Strategy & Operations, CNBC Councils & Events; Director of Audience Development, CNBC Events; Membership Manager, CNBC Councils; and Engagement Manager, CNBC Councils.
This role is available as a temporary freelance position available part-time for approximately 20 hours per week.
Core Role & Responsibilities:
• Develops email communication schedules and plans to support sales pipeline development process with Membership Manager, CNBC Councils
• Crafts creative and compelling email campaigns, messages, subject lines, calls to action, and more
• Optimizes and edits existing outbound communications with audience development and membership pipeline development in mind
• Effectively communicate value proposition of CNBC Events & Councils products to target audiences
• May also develop copy for website, paid ads, and social
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 1 years of communications experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives and their key stakeholders
• Excellent verbal written skills and ability to collaborate with key cross-functional partners in editorial, production, sales, marketing, and events teams
• Knowledge of critical issues facing C-level executives in today's business landscape
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
