Broadcast Maintenance Technician (CBS-KCNC-TV)

CBS News KCNC-TV Denver seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and install all technical equipment. If you carry a positive upbeat can-do attitude that is a master at solving any technical issue, then we are looking for you to join our amazing team!

We offer the total compensation and benefits package that includes, an hourly rate between $30-$40 depending on experience and eligibility for Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) Plan, Life Insurance Coverage, Disability Benefits, Tuition Assistance Program, PTO.

Responsibilities:
• Installs, maintains, and helps document all technical facilities, equipment, and related software
• This includes but is not limited to satellite, microwave, fiber optic and MPEG 2/4 transport. ATSC digital transmission systems, studio and operations automation systems, control room and routing switchers, IT systems and networks, file-based media systems and facility HVAC, electrical and security system
• The Engineer must interface closely with technology users to identify, troubleshoot and correct problems
• Candidate must be able to effectively multi-task and access priorities in a fast-paced winning team culture
• Position represented by NABET Local 52

Required:
• Two-year degree or higher, or certificate in Electronics, Engineering IT or equivalent experience
• Must have a valid Driver's License in good standing
• IT training and experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in television broadcast and television equipment maintenance and repair
• A proven ''hands-on'' maintenance background is required
• Proven ability to assist and/or lead engineering projects as assigned, including implementation of emerging technologies
• Must be results-oriented, innovated and demonstrate leadership
• Must understand and abide by EHS safety rules and procedures that pertain to related job functions
