Overview:

Do you have experience developing strategic, highly creative and effective multi-media marketing campaigns? If so, then look no further because CBS Marketing is looking for a Brand Manager to join our growing team! This role will market the CBS News brand and its variety of original programs, series, products, and specials.

As the Brand Manager, you will be responsible for collecting customer insights and data to build marketing strategies and plans that set clear objectives and Key Performance Indicators. Your focus will be to identify appropriate target audiences, develop positioning, then, in-turn, develop plans with mass-media, social media, promotional activities and other tactics that actively engage appropriate audiences. You will collaborate with internal and external teams, along with out-of-house agencies, to develop and implement these strategic marketing plans, with a goal to find innovative, efficient and effective ways to market our CBS News programming.

Responsibilities:
• Own brand, acquisition, content, and engagement marketing campaigns for CBS News
• Work with cross-functional teams to complete these campaigns, including communication and engagement strategies across on-air, social, digital, CBS owned channels, TV, out-of-home and PR
• Collect, analyze and apply customer insights and data in collaboration with research team to help define effective and innovative strategic marketing approaches
• Build and implement strategies that provide the most advantageous opportunity to gain significant and valid recognition by our audiences and the industry
• Act as a leader and ''motivator'' who brings big ideas and encourages others to deliver ideas, acquiring consensus and effectively and efficiently implement ideas at scale
• Build and own goals and performance metrics for campaigns; monitor regularly to understand efficiency of strategy and creative, making recommendations for continuous improvement
• Collaborate with CBS brand, entertainment, sports, and stations strategy teams to ensure strategic alignment, create master campaign plans, and implement cross-promotional opportunities
• Build and lead highly positive relationships and work effectively with a wide range of news executives, executive producers, talent, creative agencies, publicists, media outlets and industry influencers

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years in film, TV and/or News marketing
• Marketing team experience with a major studio, media company, streaming service, brand and/or marketing agency, consumer marketing, marketing communications and/or digital/high-technology consumer companies/products
• Experience owning the creative and strategic planning process
• Highly data-driven, possessing strong ability collect and apply insights to frame recommendations and results into concise and concrete reports
• Ability to collaborate with team members and external agencies/partners, including day-to-day management of campaign achievements and agency deliverables
• Ability to work prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment

Additional Qualifications:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of digital landscape and creative methodologies for organic and paid media.
• Ability to influence direction on department issues
• Possess strong decision-making skills
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge of the TV, Entertainment and/or News landscape
• Enjoys CBS News' programming and products
• Experience with Executive Producers, including relationship management, selling through of strategy and creative
• Ability to operate with significant autonomy and discretion
