WIAT CBS 42 in Birmingham Alabama is looking for Traffic Reporter. This is an ideal position to be a part of the morning news team by delivering up to the minute traffic reports.

We are looking for a candidate with a great personality for morning newscasts and dedicated to traffic.
• Produce and present traffic reports for all platforms.
• Ensures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality.
• Writes and delivers traffic in a clear and concise manner.
• Assists in writing, copy editing, researching and coordinating content.
• Responds to breaking events and other urgent newsroom situations as required.
• Participates in promotional activities including public appearances.
• Writes web stories.
• Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites.

Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Minimum two years' experience in news reporting (More or less depending on market size)
• Superior on-air presence
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Flexibility to work any shift
