Multimedia Journalist (MMJ)/Producer

CBS14/FOX44 is looking for a Multi-Media Journalist/Newscast Producer. Your responsibilities as an MMJ will include reporting, shooting and editing news stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other responsibilities as assigned. You will be expected to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including the internet, social networking sites and mobile phones, in addition to television. You will be reporting 4 days a week and producing one newscast a week.

Skills and Experience:
• Sharp news judgment
• Excellent technical skills
• The ability to work well independently
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record

The ideal candidate will have:
• Be a compelling and accurate writer
• Be able to multitask and manage time in order to put together an exciting and informative newscast
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• The ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred
• Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews
