Job Description
This position is responsible to oversee and support distribution switching for live and non-live programming for Bally Sports and other linear and streaming networks. This position will also provide distribution support to MVPDs headends.

Responsibilities include working with and supporting Bally Sports and other networks, several internal and external broadcast operations groups, master control, programming, engineering, digital groups, and vendors.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor, troubleshoot and execute distribution switching for Bally Sports RSNs and other networks utilizing various tools and systems.
• Support channels distribution and satellite receivers / IRDs located for MVPD headends.
• Daily job duties include but not limited to working with and supporting master control, broadcast operations, linear transmission, digital, engineering, RSNs programming, traffic, TOC, MVPDs headends, other internal/ external groups, and vendors etc.
• Daily duties include but not limited to execution of broadcast functions and workflows, monitoring live and non-live programming, incident reporting, escalations etc.
• Other job duties based on business needs.
• Ability to work varying shifts in a 24/7 environment, availability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
• Team player, ability to work in fast pace, high pressure live sports television environment.
• Self-starter, ability to quickly learn new tools, workflows, and work with minimum supervision

Basic Qualification:
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in live television broadcast or satellite / cable headend.
• Basic understanding of television broadcast and MVPD distribution workflows.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of video signal delivery, broadcast systems, channel distribution and switching following sports leagues broadcast rules.
• Experience in utilizing broadcast and distribution systems.
• Experience in live event broadcasting supporting linear and streaming distribution.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge and understanding of video signal delivery, signal broadcast and streaming systems.
• Experience in tracking and documenting technical issues from first reporting thru final resolution.
• Experience using transmission encoders, satellite uplink systems e.g. Synamedia (PNC, LEC), LTN Crystal, Imagine playout and ADC automation etc.
