Overview

Audacy Kansas City is seeking a talented, passionate professional to oversee our heritage Music brands with direct brand oversight of WDAF FM, KZPT FM.

You will guide Kansas Citys largest largest radio group and our growing reach on multiple platforms. As

You are responsible for all aspects of the station's brand experience, including on-air content (music, imaging, air talent, features, partners.), events, community, promotions, contesting and digital presence. You must have a deep understanding and passion for music genres including Country, Hot A/C, Alternative, and Rock.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Responsible for the total supervision, direction and overall performance level of all radio station personnel functions with specific emphasis on program coordination, development of unique content, promotions and multi-media strategies.
• Work closely with the Market Manager to develop and implement organization strategies and vision.
• The preferred applicant will have superior verbal and written communication skills and proven success in brand imaging and production. You must be highly competent in business affairs, including the ability to negotiate contracts and establish strong affiliate relationships
• You must possess a high engagement and collaborative attitude in working with Sales leadership on ideation around solution oriented marketing campaigns, including custom content to leverage revenue, while protecting product integrity.
• Special consideration will be given to candidates who have a proven track record of success brand-building in broadcast Radio/TV, Cable TV, Media or Digital platforms.
• Show by example the importance of the relationship between station and the local community.
• Ensures that programming and multi-media strategies best serve the needs and interests of the station audiences and local community.
• Responsible for adherence and compliance to Company program standards and FCC regulations.
• Develops and effectively manages department budget.
• Provides rating analysis and reporting.
• Has the ability to interpret station research.
• Critiques talent and measures performance.
• Establishes long-range plans.
• Maintains on-going communications with external industry and public organizations.
• Supervises use of any syndicated and/or outside services.
• Supervises all department staff.

Qualifications

More About You:
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience managing a medium market team of high-caliber talent to optimal Nielsen PPM performance and strong digital acumen in driving our digital footprint reach. You must possess a fearless pioneering attitude in leading innovation aligned with Audacy's transformative strategy.
• Proven leadership and coaching skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
