Audacy Detroit is looking for an experienced IT Support / Broadcast Engineer. The IT Support / Broadcast Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of computers, Software set up and End User support, LAN/WAN networks and telecommunication equipment. May also assist the Market Engineers with the installation, maintenance and repair of studio, transmitting and ancillary equipment. This is a full-time position that reports to the Market Engineer. Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
• Maintain maximum up-time for all computer systems and LAN/WAN networks
• Follow routine maintenance procedures and schedules for all network and computer equipment.
• May assist in the installation and maintenance of control consoles, audio routers, recording equipment, microphones, digital audio systems, transmitters, antennas, control systems, remote equipment, etc.
• Responsibilities include keeping systems patched and software up to date, ensuring Backup software is current and operating correctly and being on Call 24/7 in the event of an emergency.
• Must be willing to learn about radio automations and routing systems
Qualifications
More About You:
Required & Preferred:
• 3+ years' experience in IT technical support role
• Vast knowledge of the following operating systems: Google Workspace, Zoom, Windows Server, Windows OS, Apple Mac OS and IOS & MS Office Systems.
• Ability to manage a local area network infrastructure
• Routing/Switching: MPLS, IP Multicast, VOIP Zoom Phones SIP
• LAN/WAN architectures including Ethernet, Spanning Tree, ISL and Point to Point Circuits.
• Interact with management and staff at all levels and ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines
• Computer audio including WAV, MP2, MP3, AAC
• Knowledge of Broadcast digital playback systems, specifically Wide Orbit, Newsboss, Adobe Audition and Pro Tools, a plus
• Excellent customer service skills are required; must be extremely organized and detail oriented.
• May be required to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders is required
• A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance is required.
