Job summary
Amazon Music is seeking an Artist Marketing and Social Media Manager to lead integrated go-to-market artist campaign strategies and executions, including planning and creative, media briefs and driving execution with a cross-functional team of subject matter experts.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage the planning process and calendar for high-impact artist events and campaigns that can drive brand awareness and connect Amazon Music closer to artists.
• Mobilize Amazon Music around new album releases, cross-site content initiatives, and more to drive Amazon Music awareness and engagement.
• Develop creative ways to engage artists with Amazon Music, creating a trusty relationship with the industry.
• Manage Amazon Music social media channels. Define editorial calendar integrated with programming and marketing needs. Manage external agency and budget. Make a smart use of artist engagement to drive organic growth.
• Document results and prepare business reviews for the Amazon Music organization and external partners.
• Partner with Artist & Label Relations, Content, Programming, Editorial, PR, Product, and Marketing teams to rally resources, content, and development needs.
• Help define the success metrics and improve marketing roadmap by communicating opportunities and partner feedback to cross-functional teams.
• A tenacious self-starter who can serve as a strong advocate for our customer and our business and influence multiple teams without direct authority.
• Ability to be successful both as an individual contributor and in a team environment, and also will be able to perform at both strategic and tactical levels.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or relevant working experience.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience in the music industry (working with music services, labels and/or artists).
• Capable of handling complex projects at once amidst rapidly-changing priorities and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
• Experience running social media channels.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and anticipate and make tradeoffs to balance the business needs versus creative constraints.
• Exceptional project management skills, including an ability to take inputs from a variety of internal and external sources and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Proven track record of owning projects from start to finish and delivering successful results.
• High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others.
• Strong analytic and quantitative skills - ability to use data to develop and measure marketing programs.
• Result-oriented approach: clear understanding of Artist Marketing and Social Media KPIs.
• Solid reporting capabilities across multiple levels in the organization.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
