Job summary
Amazon Music is looking for a Principal Technical Product Manager to lead the Immersive Content and Creator Experiences Team product team. In this highly visible role, you will manage the product vision and roadmap to scale some of Amazon Music and Alexa's biggest bets. You'll partner deeply with music programming, editorial and our artist facing teams to build a more immersive listening destination. You'll have the opportunity to build across surfaces (voice, visual, mobile, web, etc) and to work with cutting edge tech and new business processes.

A successful candidate will be customer obsessed, technical, an expert at cross team collaboration, have exemplary communication skills... and, of course, a passion for music and creators! The candidate will need to be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail. You will excel in the following areas:
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Foster tight partnerships with key stakeholders across Amazon. You are able to clearly present findings to partner teams and organizational leadership, and facilitate decision making at all levels in a distributed global team structure.
• Operations: You create simple and time-saving scalable processes that help your product, content and engineering teams meet their goals more efficiently and effectively. You are a master in using a variety of tools to solve customer problems quickly, creating clear processes to manage incoming requests from our partner teams, streamlining our operations without creating a bottleneck, and pursuing opportunities to automate internal processes.
• Customer Insights & Innovation: You live and breathe customer insights. You develop bold, innovative solutions that are grounded in a deep understanding of customer needs. You can derive insights from customer feedback, usage data, and external research, and provide input to our product and tech teams. You are comfortable leading a customer listening initiative that reports to VP level, regularly.
• Architectural Understanding: You understand how complex content delivery systems fit together to deliver customer value. You understand production pipelines and technology design best practices. You are able to act as a subject matter expert for your area, having a good sense of what is easy and what is hard, and shielding your engineering team from the noise and delivering value to operators and contributors.
• Appetite for Experimentation: You are centered on a 'test and learn 'philosophy. You drive change through validation of concepts with a quick pivot mentality. Data and feedback inform your decisions and next wave of experiments.

We take pride in having a fast-paced, collaborative culture and seek team members that contribute to this environment with their style, experience and passion. If you think you are the right fit for the position, don't miss out on the chance to grow with us.
