Our team builds new experiences for Amazon Music listeners. We help our customers discover up-and-coming creators, while also having access to their favorite music and podcasts. We build systems that are distributed around the world, spanning our music apps, web player, and voice-forward experiences on mobile and Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa. Amazon Music products support our mission of delivering audio entertainment in new and exciting ways that listeners love.
Amazon Music's New Projects team is looking for a Creator Compensation Operations Coordinator for our creator onboarding, reporting, and payment processes. Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Creator Compensation Ops Coordinator supporting customer payments to manage strategic customer payments and to drive operational excellence. Working with the Creator Compensation lead, Finance, Accounting, and Operations, you will build processes and develop tools from scratch, resolve escalations, and identify and drive projects to improve customer experience. Your work will have a direct impact on our customers, who are artists and other talent.
The ideal candidate has knowledge of the creator and talent ecosystems, is comfortable with accounting and finance concepts and terminology, and possesses deep understanding of how to navigate finance operations within a large organization. Experience paying many users at scale is a plus. You must have an operational and analytical mindset, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to develop innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

This role can be based in Los Angeles, New York, or Atlanta.
Key job responsibilities
• Own complex payment workflows and track business milestones tied to creator/artist contracts
• Manage day-to-day partner payment operations, including contract review and payment execution and reporting
• Work with talent partners to deliver timely and accurate customer payments
• Work with Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Tax to design and implement payment workflows, working to find solutions that work for Amazon's internal financial teams and our external artist/talent customers
• Drive operational improvements across financial workflows to establish best practices, provide recommendations, and enhance productivity
• Develop a solid understanding of Amazon's Finance Operations systems and processes
About the team
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of experience in operations or program/project management
• BS/BA required
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Demonstrated success in delivering results in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
• Experience executing against timelines and requirements
• Proven track record of operational excellence
• Expertise in creating processes for financial and/or accounting operations
• Openness to ambiguous situations that require a strong sense of ownership, drive, independence, and flexibility
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Entrepreneurial or startup experience, with a track record for delivering results in fast-moving and demanding environments
• 2+ years of experience working with entertainment/media/influencer industry artists, talent, or creators
• Experience working at a large company with complex financial operations and patience for learning and navigating these systems
• Ability to think strategically about how to implement and continuously improve the customer payments experience at different stages of scale
• Experience using Salesforce or comparable contract management system
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
• Strong analytical skills to measure, assess, iterate, and report results
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Experience working effectively across functional teams, building cross-functional relationships, and representing the interests of the customer to internal teams like Product and Engineering
