Job summary
The music streaming business is experiencing high growth globally, and especially in Japan. This role is a unique opportunity to be part of a music revolution, grow the listener community and subscriber count and invent new ways to engage Japanese customers. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, and will partner with global teams around the world.

The Brand Marketing Manager will be responsible for growing Amazon Music in Japan through increasing awareness, improving consideration and usage intent, further developing our brand strategy, and monitoring our brand health. This role is expected to be a blended balance of strategist, campaign manager, and analyst. This individual is responsible for both building and delivering brand marketing campaigns & programs across mass, mid-funnel, online, offline, and Amazon owned & operated channels to drive brand awareness, positively shift perceptions, affect desired customer behaviors and grow the Amazon Music business.

The Brand Marketing Manager will work closely with teammates and partners across Marketing, Creative, Music Industry, PR, Analytics teams as well as with brand & business stakeholders in other parts of Amazon locally and globally, agencies and external companies. Key job responsibilities
• Grow Amazon Music unaided awareness, consideration, usage intent, and brand affinity
• Drive end-to-end brand marketing campaign planning including creating goals and performance metrics for brand campaigns; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making recommendations for continuous improvement
• Identify new awareness driving opportunities and strategies based on customer and business data
• Influence marketing, product, and content roadmaps by developing use cases for new & existing marketing tools
• Own the development of program and campaigns including marketing plans targeting specific segments
• Develop and execute complex campaigns & programs of small and large scale
• Co-own campaign & program budget management and adherence
• Partner with and manage creative teams – internal partners and / or external agencies
• Manage creative briefs, asset development & delivery across multiple channels
• Work with Measurement, Analytics and Insights team to design learning agendas and assess campaign & program performance as well as conduct customer insights researches
• Conduct marketing researches partnering with research teams

We want to help our customers enjoy their favorite artists, discover new ones, enjoy podcasts, experience livestreaming performances, find their favorite playlists, watch music videos, and more… We build systems that are distributed on a large scale, spanning our music apps, web player, and Alexa devices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years working in a data-driven organization in brand management, consumer marketing and/or strategic planning in a leading advertising agency
• Experience managing awareness marketing and above-the-line campaigns with a deep understanding of digital marketing, offline marketing, product management, and/or consumer products and services
• Proven track record leading successful end-to-end integrated campaign plans that drive business impact
• Demonstrated ability to use data and KPI metrics to monitor and measure performance and determine on-going improvements
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strengths in creative and strategic thinking and the ability to quickly learn Amazon tools and processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
• Project management skills, with strong ability to juggle multiple priorities, excel in a lean and demanding work environment, and manage stakeholders across various teams
• Ability to be successful both as an individual contributor and in a team environment, and also will be able to perform at both strategic and tactical levels

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience within the media/entertainment industry and a subscription business
• Experience in global projects and working environment
• Ability to deliver on multiple deadlines and prioritize compulsively as a self-directed individual, comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Proven ability to lead, influence, align and inspire cross-functional teams
• Expertise in paid & owned media channels
• Strong understanding of marketing measurement
