Your Mission

The company is seeking a strategic and commercially experienced Associate Director, Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) to provide finance leadership and oversight to its businesses across Australia, New Zealand and South Asia. The Associate Director, FPA is responsible for coordinating the regional planning and forecast process along with being the primary finance partner for local management and publishing teams. In addition, this position helps to drive business reviews, manage operational risk and cost, and partner with business leaders to support strategic growth initiatives. It will require the candidate to build partnerships with the regional and global finance community to execute and deliver results.

The ideal candidate is an independent, self-motivated leader with a proven track record of proactively contributing to business development initiatives, assessing market opportunities, identifying process efficiencies, anticipating business needs, and implementing solutions across the organization. The Associate Director will lead the FPA finance function across ANZ & South Asia and has one direct report. Meanwhile, the position will directly report to the Senior Finance Director, APAC, with dotted lines into the business leaders of the regions.

Responsibilities
• Develop functional strategies and guidelines / procedures to support the company business targets
• Manage AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and Quarterly forecasts for ANZ and South Asia
• Work in close collaboration with all relevant business and operation team members
• Management of ANZ and S. Asia P&Ls with analysis of results vs. forecast and budget
• Exercise financial analysis/assessment on new business opportunities and special projects
• Provide financial support in business model set-up for new products
• Manage controllable costs and drive efficiency in Go to Market operations for ANZ and South Asia
• Drive regional consistency and adoption of best practices in ANZ and South Asia
• Manage all financial reporting including monthly/quarterly reports
• Provide insight into the business to support improved analysis for planning purposes and driving greater insight & actionable information, developing appropriate ad hoc analysis
• Indirect oversight of the local accounting function and providing guidance and support to ensure that there is alignment & sharing of knowledge across finance functions.
• Provide feedback as required to tax & legal teams to ensure that all business models are in compliance with relevant laws.

Player Profile
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in FP&A and Accounting
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related areas or MBA focusing on Finance; possesses a professional qualification such as CPA, AICPA, and ACCA
• Experience in working for Multi-National Companies
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to quickly identify and articulate the components of a complex project or issue
• Strong problem-solving skills
• High standards of accuracy and precision
• Good communication skills, ability to synthesize
• Able to handle multiple projects
• Solid knowledge of general accounting, finance, and tax
• Able to work independently, with limited direction
• Have the capacity to develop and maintain senior level relationships and provide direction and influence at that level

Pluses
• Knowledge of the gaming industry
• Accounting experience with Hyperion and Oracle
• Finance experience in gaming / entertainment or medias
