Senior Financial Analyst- Owned Television Stations

Job Description

The ABC Owned Stations (OTVS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will support financial planning and reporting, including preparing analyses for Long Range Plans, Annual Operating Plans, forecasts, and other performance metrics. The candidate will be responsible for creating financial models and analyses to support decision-making for OTVS.

The position will report into the Finance Manager, ABC OTVS Division

Responsibilities:
• Perform Annual Operating and Long Range Planning processes for the following Business Partners/OTVS Leadership:
• Division Departments: President's office, Finance, Growth and Development, and Technology
• Digital Creative Content, Digital Audience Development and Localish
• Live Well Channel/Localish Channel
• Prepare reports on financial performance, forecast, and budget to communicate to executive team at OTVS and DMED
• Support preparation of OTVS Capital and Statement of Cash Flows for Annual Operating Plan, Forecasts, and Long Range Plan
• Utilize and maintain effective tracking tools to monitor revenue and spending for digital initiatives
• Partner with Finance team members to identify and establish best practices and consistent analyses throughout OTVS
• Maintain financial planning models in Cognos. Lead further development of the Cognos system for forecast/long range plan purposes
• Work with key stakeholders, operating groups and finance team members to improve the effectiveness of the financial planning process, assumptions and results
• Support the group with special projects and ad-hoc analyses and reporting

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in public accounting or media/entertainment finance
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
• Strong technical skills including Microsoft Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Cognos TM1 and SAP
• Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
• Innovative orientation with a proactive approach to problem solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
