Job Description

ABC News is looking for a Supervising Producer, World News Tonight.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include overseeing the editorial, production process, and operations, as well as generating new story ideas for the broadcast. Candidates must be able to manage story assignments and show production in addition to supervising junior staff. Candidates should have a minimum of five years' experience in television journalism, editing, shooting and some control room experience. The ideal candidate will offer creative and innovative ideas for fresh story-telling as well as have the ability to work under pressure and handle breaking news. Candidates should also have an understanding of digital platforms and social media. Must be able to work on some weekends and holidays.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of five years experience in broadcast journalism
• Strong editorial judgment
• Digital and social expertise

Required Education

Bachelors degree from a four year accredited college or university or equivalent experience
