Job Description
The ABC News Investigative Unit is seeking an investigative producer.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include pitching, researching, field producing, writing and oversight of the editing of investigative short form and long form pieces. Includes keeping projects to approved budgets during production and handling questions from legal and standards team during the reporting and vetting process.

Basic Qualifications:

Applicants should possess minimum 5-10 years of experience producing for broadcast platforms at a large market or network level. Candidates should be proficient in investigative research and reporting process, including writing for both short form and long form platforms and working closely with legal and standards representatives. Candidates should have a collaborative spirit as the Investigative Unit works closely with various shows and teams throughout the ABC family. Travel required (although less/optional currently due to COVID).

Preferred Qualifications:

Data journalism knowledge a plus but not required.

Required Education

BA or equivalent work experience.
