Producer - GMA - Part Time (ABC News)

Good Morning America is hiring a Producer.

Responsibilities:

The GMA Producer will work primarily with an anchor. This position is responsible for creating various types of show content, with a primary focus on creating elaborate taped pieces that air at any point in the 7 am-9 am Broadcast. This position requires a mastery of all types of taped content, from top-of-the-show breaking news to 2nd Hour features.

Candidates should excel at all aspects of producing: pitching story ideas, booking experts and characters, arranging/ executing shoots, scripting, and editing. The GMA Producer will also be called upon to create and produce complex live segments both in the studio and in the field, with quick turnarounds and attention to detail.

NOTE: This role is a part-time position under 30 hours a week (max 29).

This role will work a daytime shift primarily, but late nights and unpredictable hours (including weekends) may also be required, based upon show needs.

Basic Qualifications:
• Candidates must be exceptional writers.
• At least four years of experience in television production and journalism is required.
• Solid editorial judgment is a must, along with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Candidates must have substantial field-producing experience.
• Strong research and organizational skills are a must, with the ability to work under extreme deadlines.
• Must be proficient with digital shooting and editing

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
