Job Description

ABC News Digital is looking for a producer to join our video team. This position will focus on producing our digital video franchises and mid-form content made with digital platforms in mind.

This role is for someone who has a passion for visual storytelling. They should be able to execute a video from gathering to execution of a final product including experience with shooting and editing. The ideal candidate is someone who has a visual journalism background and has produced both character driven videos and data-driven explainer content.

The person in this role will be crafting unique pieces for all digital platforms- working with our digital video team to conduct research and reporting and produce original content drawing from news events and ABC News' archive. This person should be able to use visual storytelling elements like images and graphics to report on news topics in a nuanced way. We're seeking a true collaborator to help bring energy and creativity to our team.

Responsibilities:
• Documentary style shooting on cinema cameras, specifically two camera interviews
• Collaborating with graphics team to create interactive and data-driven graphics
• Work with APs and support staff throughout the process of producing a piece, delegating as needed
• Editing videos with knowledge of either AVID and/or Premiere is a must

Basic Qualifications:
• 3 years plus experience as a producer
• Willingness and desire to collaborate with different teams
• Ability to balance multiple priorities, projects and tasks

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience video editing in a news-driven environment
• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus
• Well organized and capable of rolling with change
• Bring energy, humor and positivity to the group

Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
