Job Description
abc27 in Harrisburg, PA has an opening for a full time creative and self-motivated lead Graphic Artist. This position creates graphics for a wide variety of projects for broadcast, print and digital for news and creative services.
• Utilize graphics templates to fulfill daily newscast and lifestyle programming graphics needs to aid in storytelling of on-air content, often with short deadlines
• Design franchise graphics packages including logos, in-studio graphics, and design templates for everything from shows, featured segments, and promotion projects
• Develop animations and promotional graphics that coincide with station brand
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas
• Design and produce any print ads and graphics for promotional merchandise
• Station photographer for talent headshots, staff and other projects (preferred)

Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelors' degree in Art, Design or Broadcasting (preferred) or equivalent experience
• Three years of experience in graphic design in broadcast TV with advanced experience in Adobe Creative Cloud products including After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator (preferred) and with Ross Xpression Designer and Streamline
• Working knowledge of Cinema 4D (or similar 3-D animation software) preferred, but not required
• Ability to work on various projects simultaneously and to deliver finished projects on deadline
• Familiar with Cannon DSLR cameras (preferred)
• Highly effective communications and file organization skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with other members of the team
• Flexibility to occasionally work extra hours and shifts depending upon project delivery and deadline
