Animation Executive, TV

Job Description

A24 is seeking a TV Animation Executive to lead and grow a slate of projects with a heavy emphasis in the comedy genre. This executive will work alongside executives currently at the company on their existing animation projects, but primarily focus on building their own slate that targets the goals of A24. Currently, the need is half-hour animation series for an adult audience but could evolve beyond that to other demographics.

Initial Responsibilities
• Day to Day management of television animation slate: Has significant experience at developing pitches, packaging projects, and selling to the market
• Capable of independently leading tv animation projects in all phases of creative development and working alongside production, post-production, marketing, and other internal departments and our external partners
• Identifying new projects in all capacities - buying pitches, sourcing IP, tracking specs, bringing in talent to partner with and develop around internal goals that elevate the overall A24 TV Slate within this genre
• Over time, have the ability to evolve the slate beyond the current needs and focus.

Qualifications
• 5+ years experience working in animation with equal experience in comedy development
• Producorial minded - the ability/knowledge of overseeing a series in production, including staffing writers, directors, key talent
• Strong communication skills both with internal and external partners
• Knowledge of current needs of the marketplace in this genre.
