POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Director, Production Risk Management position involves evaluating and advising exposures, confirming coverage, and reviewing contractual insurance requirements to manage production related risk. This individual will also be responsible for all aspects of set health and safety compliance and insuring various domestic and international productions including movies, scripted episodic, and other formats. The position interfaces directly with the individual productions, the studio and network production, legal and finance executives, insurance brokers, insurance carriers, and vendors to evaluate Studio's exposure, anticipate needs, advise, and work to mitigate and avoid risk.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research, advise, monitor, and implement all Covid-19 and other health and safety protocols and mandates based on guild, union, local, national, and international compliance
• Identify, communicate, and champion loss prevention and operational improvement opportunities.
• Notify insurance brokers of upcoming productions; distribute start-up packets, train production staff on insurance procedures, ensure cast member declarations and cast medical forms are submitted to the broker and received for approval by insurance carrier while working with production to resolve or negotiate any restrictions.
• Review and approve contract insurance language for productions, including but not limited to locations, office leases, equipment rentals and security companies.
• Review and approve all Risk Management related revisions, certificates, standard forms, etc.
• Review incoming insurance documents for independent contractors ensuring compliance with Company's requirements.
• Work closely with brokers during annual coverage renewal process by vetting all quotes before recommending the best policies for each program.
• In conjunction with SVP, Content, Production & Risk and SVP, Controller & Treasurer, manage Studio's insurance program and relationships with brokers and insurers in a way that supports Company's long-term insurance objectives
• Maintain a strong relationship and open communication with each production, Network and Studio business divisions to ensure that they are aware of risk management policies and procedures.
• Update Safety and other production manuals in accordance with current OSHA requirements.
• Read all scripts, highlight risks that will need to be mitigated, and discuss risk assessments with the Studio, production, and producers to prepare for GL carrier approval.
• Risk management will be present at every production meeting with the crew or conduct the safety meeting in conjunction with the 1st AD's support.
• Work closely with Finance on claims and losses for each production.

YOUR STORY:

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION:
• Minimum of 5 years in high-risk production both domestically and internationally.
• Extensive knowledge of production safety practices, Covid-19 safety compliance and protocols, production claims management, and GL & E&O application process and renewals.
• Knowledge of the production claims process is mandatory to guarantee claims are submitted correctly to create a case that supports 100% payout of the insurance limit.
• Well-organized, detail oriented and able to adjust to changing environment and tight deadlines.
• Ability to easily navigate around physical production and work independently.
• Provide cross functional support in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer, interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Organize, prioritize, and follow through on multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
• Team oriented and committed to corporate DEI initiatives.
• Ability to travel as needed
