Director, Software Quality Engineering (Remote)
Work Locations: With the exception of some select roles that have in-office requirements, A+E Networks operates on a flexible model that allows for remote, hybrid or full time in office work (in certain locales).
Office locations include New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Stamford, CT.

Job Description
A+E Networks is seeking a Quality leader with proven skills in building and managing a software quality engineering team. The Quality Assurance team focusses on delivering the highest quality of products throughout A+E and making automation core to every product and feature. The team is responsible for quality of enterprise products, B2B products for our partners, consumer-facing digital products, advertising technology, consumer data, distribution and broadcast operations. We strive to build systems and products that drive better experience for our internal business users, partners and consumers. We also constantly look and evaluate the current market to understand the best tools and embrace emerging trends. We like to tinker, figure things out, and most importantly get things done and have fun while we are doing it
As a leader of the Quality Engineering program, you will be responsible for leading Quality Engineering and test automation activities across enterprise and consumer products. You will work with a mix of partners, onshore and offshore resources to lead an effective Quality Engineering program using Agile methodology and implement quality assurance processes and common automation frameworks across multiple technology initiatives.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Proactively and collaboratively take ownership of the quality of software delivered and establish partnerships with key stakeholders in the Enterprise and Digital Technology, Product Management, Development, Security, Privacy, Compliance and Data teams to drive overall Product Quality
• Implement quality assurance processes and common automation frameworks across multiple technology efforts
• Champion the QE organization and quality metrics across the organization
• Establish and maintain QE governance best practices and standards and ensures consistent application of those practices across the organization.
• Develop and continuously refines QE vision and roadmap (both manual and automation) aligning to business objectives.
• Possess, develop, and apply knowledge of trends, value and use of technology and closely follow the evolution of business models and organizational priorities
• Ensure that programs, initiatives & projects are delivered on-time and within budget. Manage risks appropriately & plan proactive mitigation
• Regular status reporting including but not limited to budget, project & support status, resources to the Heads of Departments, Product Owners, Development leads & other executives
• Build, manage, and mentor a team of engineers. Create staff development plans to align with organizational and departmental vision. Build a high performing team, foster open communication, transparency, highest level of integrity, trust & collaboration within & across the departments
• Oversee a large-scale managed services engagement for Quality Engineering across our suite of external and internal facing applications.
• Explore new technologies that could bring efficiencies or productivity gains to our customers (b2b Partners, Internal and Consumers).

YOUR STORY: (what you need to have) Director of Software Quality Engineering
• 7+ years of Software Quality Engineering experience preferably in an Agile environment.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role around Quality Engineering including QA Automation, Manual QA and end to end software quality testing architecture
• Knowledge in test automation frameworks and integration with continuous build/ integration systems
• Experience in establishing and development of key metrics for QE across the organization
• Experience in leading QE initiatives for both enterprise and consumer products is a plus
• Experience with test automation with OTT devices such as Roku, AppleTV, FireTV is a plus
• Experience working with Streaming or Digital media, internet or technology industry is a plus
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate professionally across different groups and company leadership
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups, as well as execute independently to meet deadlines
• Adhere to A+E values of DEI, creativity, collaboration, coordination, accountability
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, mathematics, or a related field
Compensation
Annual Incentive Target: 17.50%
The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the
minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will
be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,
competencies, location, and experience. A+E offers a competitive total compensation
