Summer 2022 Virtual Intern, Publishing Design (DC Comics)

The Daily
• Assisting in the design of various publications, such as, type setting, asset placement and editing.
• Work closely with editorial and production team members.
• Assist in creating and managing assets.
• Self-manage when given prioritized goals and objectives.

The Essentials
• Portfolio or personal website with recent examples of work
• Proficiency in Adobe CS Tools; primarily InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• High level of graphic design, typography, and visual communication skills.
• Enthusiasm to learn existing process, while also providing your own observations and feedback.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines and see them to completion.
• Positive and team-oriented attitude.
• Passion for DC Comics characters and stories.
• Familiarity with pop culture such as comics, film, and tv.
• Knowledge of print/publication design.

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th - August 12th (optional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
