The Job:

Assist Library staff in the organization and regular maintenance of library assets which include rare and old comic books and collectibles.

The Daily:
• Scanning, filing, and character/story research.
• Assist Administrative teams with database updates for title management, scheduling, and contact information among others.
• Support the Talent Relations Director & Administrator with talent travel, including booking flights, hotels and communicating with talent on itineraries and logistics.
• Help maintain the accuracy of metadata for projects (books, periodicals and digital items) in company databases through regular checks and updates.
• Order service copies for contributing talent for all published material, as well as hand-shipping copies as necessary,
• Deal with issues that arise directly with the printer reps and maintaining the creator address spreadsheet.
• Handle projects related to comic book preservation, digitization, and inventorying, sharing resources with other DC departments.
• Support Talent Relations in the preparation and processing of Independent Contractor approvals of talent and work delivered lists.
• Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

The Essentials:
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows required. PC knowledge preferred.
• Excellent verbal and writing skills, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and handle multiple tasks.
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures as well as standard report and letter formats preferred.
• Familiarity with comic books, comic book history and DC characters a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th - August 12th (optional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
