The Job

Stage 13 is a fearless, original studio within WarnerMedia dedicated to amplifying multidimensional stories and storytellers within the scripted and unscripted worlds of television and feature film. Through hands-on creative development and early-stage incubation, we work tirelessly to uplift and support the next generation of emerging filmmakers, writers, and creators – all while armed with the endless resources and in-house partnerships of the greater WarnerMedia family.

The Daily
• Read/watch incoming submissions of all mediums (scripts, plays, short films, books) and provide insightful coverage and analysis.
• Assist development team with current projects across our development & production slate.
• Conduct research on creative communities, networks, fellowships, labs, etc. in the discovery of dynamic, unique creators-particularly those at the emerging and midlevel stages of their careers, and those from non-traditional film & TV backgrounds (podcasters, playwrights, novelists, artists from different mediums, etc.)
• Create film festival tracker grids for scripted development team usage
• Report to senior executives the most successful trends in digital, television, and social media.
• Perform administrative/office and other duties as assigned.

The Essentials
• Knowledge of Stage 13 is a bonus
• Previous Internships or other work experience in film/television development preferred.
• Previous experience with script coverage and/or analyzing scripts strongly preferred. Or alternatively, demonstrates strong analytical skills in reading & writing in other complimentary disciplines and activities (e.g. journalism, art history/film criticism, creative writing, playwriting, literature studies)
• Avid and passionate reader and analyst of content across all mediums and formats (e.g. books, plays, film, tv, comics, games, etc.)
• All majors and areas of study are welcome, but a strong interest in learning about TV and feature film development is required.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with exceptional sense of accountability.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to problem solve within scope of responsibility.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote
• Interest and knowledge in issues and stories that pertain to underrepresented communities.
• Avid follower of digital news and entertainment companies/outlets, pop culture trends
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Positive attitude, willing to take direction, and self-motivated.

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th - August 12th (optional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
