JOB DESCRIPTION – Communications Intern (Unpaid)

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Division: Ticketmaster

Line Manager: Communications Manager

Contract Terms: Unpaid Internship (school credit only), 15-20 hours per week (Part-Time), Requires some evenings & weekends.

Ticketmaster is part of Live Nation Entertainment which is the world's leading live entertainment company. Having served fans for 41 years, 2017 saw the team provide 500 million tickets to fans around the world. Currently Ticketmaster operates in 30+ countries.

The communications team is responsible for the public relations, press management and public affairs for the global Ticketmaster business.

THE JOB

In this role you will support the global Communications team on all internal and external communications, with particular focus on North America. The role provides an opportunity to develop and learn about the communications field whilst working alongside senior leaders.

You will ensure the smooth running of all administrative functions, as well as your own PR projects. You will assist with the management of events within Ticketmaster HQ, as well as support on external events managed by the team.

This role will see you work on Ticketmaster's corporate communications - it will not involve any concert/tour publicity work (this is managed by Live Nation).

We are currently operating under flexible working, the role will be a mix of working from home and coming into the West Hollywood office once or twice a week.

Ticketmaster continues to expand across the globe recently launching in Chile and Mexico. It is an exciting time to join the team!

WHAT YOU WILL BE LEARNING UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF TRAINED EMPLOYEES
• Assisting the team in ensuring that the offices are being managed effectively and efficiently. Processing enquiries so that they are ready for response.
• Helping create press materials (press releases, statements, quotes etc)
• Support event management
• Work across events that help to promote Ticketmaster to both clients and other key stakeholders, both internally and externally
• Participate in all relevant meetings for the PR department both internally and externally
• Assist the entire team on various projects (taking notes, project research, drafting documents etc)
• Run your own PR projects, as managed by senior members of the team
• Administrative duties
• Process relevant invoices
• Deliver and monitor subscriptions
• As the Communications team is a central function of the business, you can expect to regularly interact with key members across various teams including Marketing, HR, Technology, Music and more

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
• Good verbal, literacy and communication skills
• Experience using PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Currently studying for undergraduate in communications preferred

NOTE: Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or providing proof of a negative COVID test at least every 48 hours will be required for this position to work in an office or venue.
