Graphic Design & Video Editing Trainee, CORP P&O (HR) – Spring 2022

The Sony Pictures Entertainment Professional Trainee program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. Trainees will work remotely with the potential of working in the office location at a later time. This position is from January/February through the end of May 2022 working 40 hours a week, M-F, 8 hour days.

The Graphic Design & Video Editing Trainee will support our People & Organization (P&O), also known as HR, Strategy and Communications team with visual assets that bring our brand and communications to life and enhance our employee experience. This role will have the opportunity to collaborate with people across the People & Organization team including leaders who specialize in Diversity & Inclusion, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Business Partnership, Technology, Operations, Employee Relations and Compensation. This role will also support our work with a variety of external vendors and stakeholders. The Graphic Design and Video Editing Trainee will report directly to the Executive Director of People & Organization Strategy.

Responsibilities:
• Create visually compelling graphics, including, but not limited to, PowerPoint presentations, email communications, infographics, event flyers, and social media assets using established brand guidelines
• Develop templates for organization-wide use in MS Office Suite products, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Create video assets to be used on internal and external facing sites, as well as social media
• Generate creative copy and edit/proof communications on a variety of subjects
• Create custom graphics and retouch existing graphics
• Collaborate with other teams at Sony Pictures to ensure all assets are cleared for specific uses
• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Proven graphic design experience in a professional setting
• Proven video editing skills
• Basic video animation skills
• Communications and/or marketing experience preferred
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, Final Cut Pro, Premier Pro, Camtasia and other graphic design and video software
• ''Can-do'' attitude and solutions-oriented
• Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and a fast learner
• Willingness to follow existing brand guidelines while still finding ways to get creative
• Very comfortable using all MS Office Suite Products in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing priorities
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to maintain sensitive/confidential information
