Clarkson Potter and Ten Speed Press publish such notable authors as Ina Garten, Alison Roman, Yotam Ottolenghi, Toni Tipton Martin, Rick Martinez, Amber Lewis, Bryant Terry, Dolly Parton, Jimmy Chin, Matika Wilbur, Ariana Madix, Hawa Hassan, Matty Matheson, Shira Gill and Rebel Girls. We are looking for a thoughtful, creative, and team-focused candidate who will work on cookbooks and lifestyle books in various categories.  Clarkson Potter, TSP is an imprint under Crown Pulishing Group.

The Marketing department develops and implements creative marketing campaigns including advertising, social media, and bookstore displays. Marketers work closely with sales to learn what's happening in the market and, to help them promote and share their enthusiasm about books and writers.

Some responsibilities may include:
• Drafting marketing materials
• Researching new media contacts, influencers, and brand partnerships for title marketing campaigns
• Collaborating with the team to create content for author and imprint social media platforms
• Assisting in select marketing book mailings
• Attending team meetings to help brainstorm promotional opportunities for titles

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DETAILS

Penguin Random House offers an immersive 10-week PAID, REMOTE internship opportunity in Spring 2025, available in our adult, children's, and corporate divisions. Interns will have the opportunity to learn how to create marketing book campaigns, projects to develop skills in marketing books and receive robust training from our marketing teams to support professional growth. Our interns are also exposed to the publishing process and our business through panels, networking events, and a mentoring program!

What you study does not matter! We are looking for your desire to work with books, your drive to learn and your curiosity for the publishing industry.

Program Dates: January 13th, 2025 – March 21st , 2025

REQUIREMENTS & ELIGIBILITY
• Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2025 (You do not need to be enrolled in college or have a degree to apply to our internship program).
• Able to work 21 hours/week throughout the program
• Available and commit to the program working January 13th, 2025 – March 21st , 2025
• Must reside in the US for the duration of the internship program
• Must be over the age of 18

Interns are paid $21/hour.
