Job Description
Responsibilities
Content Distribution is a division of NBCUniversal that drives the North American distribution of the company's multi-billion dollar television portfolio to cable, satellite and telco providers, as well as live streaming services, and other digital platforms. A key revenue-generator, the division oversees the distribution of NBC and Telemundo owned stations, all of NBCUniversal's cable entertainment, news and sports networks, and the Olympics. The group also leads the content strategy and development for offerings that include video-on-demand (VOD) and TV Everywhere (TVE).
Opportunities may include (but are not limited to):
• Communications, Partner Marketing, and Strategy (New York, NY): This team provides support to our distribution partners on behalf of our networks, ranging from event access, experiential opportunities, and marketing materials/toolkits to help drive awareness for NBCU's major programming priorities and initiatives across all platforms. Tasks can include preparing materials for marketing campaigns, tracking marketing promos, conducting research on distributors and marketing trends, and more.
• Digital Product and Partnerships (New York, NY): The Product Partnerships team is responsible for managing the day-to-day relationships with NBCUniversal's distribution partners (such as Comcast, DirecTV, YouTubeTV, etc.), leveraging product initiatives, business needs, content opportunities and related analytics to drive user engagement and revenue growth. The intern will have exposure to key business and technology drivers that contribute to successful product experiences on video platforms.
• Digital Product and Operations (Remote): Interns in this role serve as a project managers and analysts for Digital Distribution Projects. They can expect to help manage projects that stretch across multiple teams within Content Distribution and across external technology teams. Project and role responsibilities will include scoping, prioritizing, aligning teams on goals, executing to achieve goals and report progress against these goals.
• Sales (New York, NY): Intern will support the Sales team that negotiates the content distribution rights of NBCUniversal broadcast/cable portfolio and the Peacock app. Tasks will include analyzing industry, subscriber, and distributor trends and supporting account management and compliance of contract obligations and entitlements. The Intern will have opportunities to collaborate with other departments including Marketing, Legal and Digital Product and present relevant research and findings to Senior Leadership.

Qualifications/Requirements
• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.

Additional Job Requirements
• If selected for an in-person internship, must be willing to work in New York, NY.
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVID-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.

Desired Characteristics
• Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Strong interest in the media industry
• Commitment to building an inclusive work environment
• Previous internship experience and on-campus involvement
• A background in any of the following areas: Business, Business Administration, Communications Digital/New Media, Film/Television, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Media Studies, Public Relations, Research, Statistics
• Strong written and oral communication skills, organized, detail oriented, team player, high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel, ability to multi-task, knowledge and passion for the entertainment industry
• Demonstrated ability to work with data
• Knowledge of interest in emerging technologies, block-chain, ML / AI and other transactional or fin-tech a plus
