Job Description

Responsibilities
The Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) consists of the operations to produce, acquire, market and distribute filmed entertainment worldwide in various media formats for theatrical, home entertainment, television and other distribution platforms. The division operates globally with colleagues spread across 20 countries. We pride ourselves in supporting and amplifying diverse stories told by unique voices. Internships & Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
• Digital Asset Management (in person opportunities): apply cast/set/prop information to photography and design assets, research cast and filmmaker information for catalogue films and television shows, and editing all film photography.
• Physical Production (in person opportunities) & Development (remote opportunities): script coverage, maintain filmmaker and project databases, review production schedules and call sheets, and general administrative support
• Marketing & Consumer Insights (remote & in person opportunities): create social campaigns & strategies, review & analyze consumer data to improve marketing strategies, reporting performance trends, preparing industry update decks and deliverables, develop & design marketing collateral for pitch meetings, participate in brainstorm & strategy meetings
• Publicity (remote opportunities): preparing for press junkets, researching media outlets & contacts, and compiling coverage reports
• Creative Design (remote opportunities): creating various theatrical campaign assets, source new design ideas and pitch them to the team, and produce a variety of artistic styles for each theatrical campaign
• Finance & FP&A (remote opportunities): improve accuracy and efficiency of monthly forecasting process, creating new financial models and trackers, day-to-day operations – financial consolidation, territory forecasting calls, and submitting corporate financials, and assist in regression refresh
• Business Development & Strategy (remote opportunities): execution of CRM program, compiling and modifying assets, working with email vendor to ensure successful creation and deployment or campaigns, data insights and analysis, performing competitive research to identify new CRM opportunities, collaborate on testing strategy to continuously iterate and improve the customer experience
• International Distribution (in person opportunities) & Digital Distribution (remote opportunities): conduct research across the studio and digital retailer landscape, provide insights into market trends, and develop both internal and client-facing deliverables based on key findings, present out to project stakeholders
• Film Music (remote opportunities): assist with music searches and artist brainstorms for films, downloading new music and maintaining organization of the music drive, researching publishing and licensing information and music statistics, and reading scripts to spot source music placement
• Business & Legal Affairs (remote opportunities): draft various licensing agreements and other contracts related to film and television licensing to various external partners, including global digital media platforms and local television broadcasters
• Technology Partnerships (remote opportunities): provide technical engineering support for existing programs (data processing, web development, and testing), evaluate the viability of using technologies (AI/Deepfake/GAN ML and multiplayer gaming platforms), and assist with the coding and building of proof of concepts

Qualifications/Requirements
• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.

Additional Job Requirements:
• If selected for an in-person internship, must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVID-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.

Desired Characteristics
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Students with class standing of junior or above preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Previous internship experience within a corporate setting
