GolfPass Direct-to-Consumer Services

At GolfPass, we aspire to be GOLF's most forward-thinking and customer-centric platform: To become the one-stop shop where golfers come to Play More and Play Better by finding and discovering everything needed to connect with their passion. Direct-to-Consumer is a key priority for GOLF with fast moving and aggressive growth goals. This role must operate with a startup and entrepreneurial mentality, a quick learner, that works in a deep partnership with stakeholders across the business.

GolfNow

GolfNow, a division of NBC Sports Next, is the internet's largest online tee time reservation service, trusted by more than 1.5 million golfers. Using leading-edge technology, GolfNow provides more ways for golfers to stay connected to their favorite golf courses and tee times through the web and mobile applications.

Specific roles may include:

Customer Support – GolfNow Member Care provides consumer facing support to NBC Sports Golf/NBC Sports App, Golf Reservation Center (answering on behalf of our 500 Partner Golf Courses), GolfNow/TeeOff (online golf booking platform), and Peacock TV streaming. This intern will be invited to meetings across multiple departments, such as Marketing, Technology, and 3rd party vendors while proactively participating in discussions surrounding improving the customer experience.

Quality Assurance Engineering – The NBCSports Next – GolfNow Quality team is responsible for the quality of several front-end web sites and mobile applications, as well as the backend API's, services, and tasks that power our products. We cover the testing for public facing products such as Golfnow.com, Teeoff.com, Golfpass.com, their international sites and CMS admins, mobile applications, and OTT applications.

Partner Care - Our Partner Care Implementation Team is responsible for consulting, implementing and onboarding our operations technology solutions which Partner Golf Courses use to successfully run their businesses. As an intern for our team, you will have direct interaction with people in entry level positions all the way up to the Vice President of the department.

Plus - The Plus Team interacts with almost every division across NBC Sports Digital. Intern responsibilities include auditing and providing ongoing feedback for our current product offerings, as well as working with the following disciplines: support, activation, website design/development, brand agency, revenue consultation, and project management.

Sales Operations - Interns in this role will support the Sales team and other departments to create and streamline operational processes to help sell, implement and support our products & services. A major function of the team is to manage Salesforce CRM for the organization, which is used for managing accounts, cases, orders, and sales opportunities. Interns in this role will assist with various clean-up and audit projects involving Salesforce and Excel and be communicating with department managers.

Finance

NBC Sports Next – Finance Department offers opportunities within Controllership, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for SportsEngine and GolfNow.

Specific roles may include but not be limited to:

Business Ops & Revenue – The Business Operations team within the overall Revenue department is responsible for posting and maintaining all revenue generating inventory for the Golf business and many other projects for SportsEngine. An intern would play an integral part in ensuring the health of revenue generating inventory remains strong, critical documentation is up to date, and progress to overall Revenue departmental goals is maintained.

FP&A – The FP&A team is responsible for budget creation, communication, and management across GolfNow and SportsEngine. An intern would allow us to explore some of those projects that we think can help drive the business forward. The intern would be exposed to a variety of FP&A / Accounting type work and have visibility to multiple departments within the two companies.

Qualifications/Requirements
• In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.

Additional Job Requirements 
• If selected for an in-person internship, must be willing to work in Orlando, FL.
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment. 
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVID-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite. 
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.

Desired Characteristics
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Student with class standing of junior or above preferred
• Strong interest in the media industry; knowledge of sports and/or fantasy sports is a plus 
• Commitment to building an inclusive work environment  
• Ability to multitask and highly organized  
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Previous internship experience or on-campus leadership
• Basic knowledge of the game of golf
• For FP&A: Business background (Finance / Accounting preferred)
• For Quality Assurance Engineering: SQL knowledge is a plus. Experience with API testing tools such as Postman also a plus.
