Intern - Engineering - Bay Area

Job Description

Responsibilities
An internship to work with the Engineering department to support engineering and operations technologies for NBC Sports Bay Area. This individual works with and supports all in the NBC Sports Engineering, Operations and Content Teams to ensure a quality product on air.
Duties include assisting with special projects, equipment installation, testing and support.

The ideal candidate has some experience in media operations, is meticulous, and is extremely organized. The individual is fluent at communicating both technical and non-technical information; is comfortable working both independently and within an established team; and provides quality service with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
• Assist Engineering with installation projects, maintenance, and support throughout the facility.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Basic level of technical knowledge of audio, video, signal flow, for broadcast.
• Familiarity and proficiency with computer operating systems, networking concepts and hardware.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Great verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to accurately read work order instructions and follow procedures.
• Ability to work under or behind desks and in server rooms
• Ability to lift and manipulate objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
• If selected for an in-person internship, must be willing to work in San Francisco, CA.

Additional Job Requirements
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
