MMJ INTERN (P/T) - KYOU

About KYOU:

KYOU is the FOX and NBC affiliates in Southeastern Iowa and Northeastern Missouri. The station produces 6pm and 10pm newscasts on our KYOU NBC channel. Along with a 9pm newscast on our KYOU Fox channel. Each of our news staff members perform various job functions including MMJ, anchor, producer and digital.

Internship Summary/Description:

KYOU is seeking interns to work and learn as part-time multi-media journalist in the newsroom. This is a paid internship.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Shoot and edit video
- Help write for newscasts
- Help find local stories

Qualifications/Requirements:

This position is designed to build on journalism knowledge. Applicants should have some basic knowledge of journalism or related major or have equivalent experience.
- Junior or Senior in college OR in graduate degree program
- Ability to maintain a positive work environment by behaving in a manner in which you work well with staff, our sources/interviewee subjects, and viewers
